In Loving Memory of Gerrit Lubberts (Jack)

1938-2024

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gerrit Jan Lubberts (Jack) on Oct19, 2024 at the age of 86. Father of Stephen and Lloyd Lubberts and one of 12 siblings. He is survived by Ali Pol, John Lubberts, Cindy (Ken) Grant, Rika Lubberts, Linda (Paul) Hartman, Fred (Marilou) Lubberts, Mary Riel and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by father Arend and mother Klazina, sister Geraldine Docker, and brothers Garrit, Albert and Donald Lubberts.

Jack was born in Nunspeet Netherlands. When Jack was young the family moved to the Niagara region of Canada. Jack worked in automobile components industry for Hays Dana Canada for 30yrs until retiring. After retiring Jack an avid animal lover and outdoorsman moved to the North Bay area where he bought a house on the shore of Lake Nipissing. It is here with his beloved dog Susie he would enjoy a life of fishing and Hunting, hosting family and friends at his lake front home.

In his last years, Jack moved to B.C. where he explored the province with brother Fred and sister Rika and enjoyed salt water fishing with his boys Stephen and Lloyd.
